Noise in GSM and CDMA White Paper

This white paper presents the results of large-scale measurements of background noise in live GSM and CDMA calls in US networks and discusses the noise’s impact on customer experience according to the ITU-T G.107 E-model. The paper also examines the differences between Ditech’s Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature, which is part of a network-based Voice Quality Assurance (VQA™) solution for GSM and CDMA networks, and the noise suppression that is mandatory in CDMA.
